Gingerbread houses and Cookies

After Sadie came home from the hospital we got right to work on all of our Christmas stuff.  My brother Jason was able to come and spend Christmas with us this year.  It was fun having him here.  The kids sure loved having him here.  They are already talking about what to do with him when he comes next year.  Ian had a bad cold over Christmas so he wasn't into doing a lot of things but he still enjoyed doing stuff and playing with his Uncle Jason.  He pooped out on making houses after a couple pieces of candy but at least he tried.  On the Tuesday before Christmas we made our "gingerbread" houses.  We use graham crackers instead.  They turned out cute.  Jason of course spent over an hour working on his.  Good thing Noah wasn't here to do them.  He would have taken just as long.  On Christmas Eve we also decorated sugar cookies.  I love eating sugar cookies but I hate making them and decorating them so I am glad that my kids like to decorate.  They aren't super pretty but they sure taste good.
