We went to another park that was not too far away. Every time we go somewhere the kids ask about 5 minutes into the drive if we are almost there yet. They are used to home where everything is close. At my parent's house everywhere is a drive. The weather was beautiful but not hot enough for my kids to play in the water. It was only like 74 degrees out. That is too cold for splash pads for these Texas kids. Ian did get in for about 5 seconds and then said it was just too cold. They did have fun playing on the playground though. We played, had lunch, and played some more. As we were headed out, Whitney locked her keys in her car. Oops. The kids got to play some more while we waited for AAA.
Today we also celebrated Ian's birthday. It is not his actual birthday but we celebrated with my family early. We had chocolate cake of course and presents. He was one happy kid. They were extra excited to get some Fidget spinners too. They have been begging for them. Grandmas always get the best presents.
