Since we were at Emma's house on Sadie's actual birthday we celebrated the next day. We did take her out to dinner the night before. She chose Red Robin. For breakfast the next morning she wanted pancakes and bacon, of course. After that she got ready to go see "The Little Mermaid" at Fair Park in Dallas. It was one of the productions as part of their Summer Musicals program. We had wanted to take Sadie to see it but the tickets were pretty expensive. Then one day Sadie came home with a paper that there were some seats that they were reserving for kids with a hearing impairment and they were free!! Well we put Sadie's name in and we got 2 tickets. Noah was able to take her for their Daddy-daughter birthday date. Sadie was super excited to go. Plus she got to dress up a little. That is one of her favorite things. Noah and Sadie went to Panera for lunch before the show and then headed to Dallas. When she came home she had a big smile on her face. I think she liked it. After that we had her favorite dinner which is Potato soup and breadsticks. For her cake she wanted Rainbow Angel Food cake with chocolate ice cream. After that was presents. I don't know which she was more excited about, presents or the show. I think it was a good birthday! Now to plan the party.
