For Thanksgiving we did as we always do and we went up to Oklahoma City to Noah's grandparents house. We had plans to leave early on Wednesday morning so that we could get up there early. Well our plans were changed when Ian woke up with red pussy eyes and Sadie's eyes had been red too. We figured it must be Pink eye. We called the doctor as soon as they opened and luckily they were able to get us in first thing. Well it turns out that Sadie just had red eyes but Ian had a double ear infection. Poor kid. We got him some antibiotics, packed up the car and headed out on the road. We didn't leave as early as we wanted to but we still were able to get into OKC early. I was glad it was just and ear infection and not something contagious. We checked in to our hotel and went and did a little shopping. We got some pinecones from a store in town and then we headed to the Disney outlet store. We picked up a couple of Christmas gifts while we were there. After shopping we headed to Red Robin for dinner. Ian's antibiotics had already started to kick in. He was one hungry boy. He ate the breading on his corndog and then finished Sadie's mac n cheese. After dinner we went back to the hotel to change our clothes and get ready for some swimming. Sadie and Ian were really looking forward to this part. By the end of all of these activities they were two tired kids. They got bathed and fell right to sleep. In the morning we ate breakfast with the rest of Noah's family at the hotel and headed over to Mema's for food. It was nice to have all of the family there. The cousins just love to spend time together and the food of course was super tasty.
The girls and Ian having a tea party on Papa's bed.
You can't see them in this picture but there are several little dogs that the kids are playing with.
Look at those handsome boys all ready for prayer.
The kids eating their Thanksgiving feast.
All of the tasty food.
Homemade stuffing and killer corn!
The weather outside was nice enough that the kids played outside a lot.
Ian played a race game with his two cousins, Andrew and Sam.
After discoveries last year we bought the kids headlamps so that they could color and read books on the way home in the dark.
After a day of playing and not eating much and lack of sleep, Sadie was ready to go home. After a stop at the French fry store, aka McDonald's, she perked right up.
