At the beginning of December we woke up to an ice storm. Everything was coated in a layer of ice. It was really cold outside. It looked like it had snowed but it was just a layer of ice. The roads were really bad and a lot of trees either lost branches or came down. Luckily we only lost one small branch on one of our trees. Other people were not as lucky. School was cancelled for two days and then delayed on the next day. It was nice to have everyone home but not so nice that they were home and we were all stuck in the house. It did force me to get all of the Christmas decorations up though! I was just happy when the sun came out and eventually melted it all.

The tree in our front yard. Luckily after it warmed up it bounced back up to normal.
Noah took the kids out to play one day. They didn't last very long outside in the cold.
