So this is the first year that we have let the kids stay up late for New Year's Eve. Well we let them stay up until 11pm. That's when the ball drops in NYC. I threw together some activities in some paper bags. Every hour or so they got to open a bag and do that activity. They loved the bags. The first bag we opened and we made little pizzas and watched the movie "Finding Dory." That was fun! The next bag had popcorn in it to eat during the movie. The next bag told us we needed to take showers and get ready for bed and then we played "Monopoly Jr." That was a fun game. And it goes much faster than the original game. Next we had a bag with New Years hats in it to decorate. They loved coloring those. Then I found some little surveys online that they filled out about their favorite things from the year. Then it was time to watch the ball drop in NYC. They really liked that. The last bag we opened had Midnight "kisses" in it. They were just Hersheys kisses. Overall it was a fun night and the kids did great. I am pretty sure they fell right to sleep though.
