Dallas Zoo

For playgroup a couple of weeks ago we went to the Dallas Zoo.  There was a good group of us that went.  It was a really nice day.  The weather was really nice that day.  We were able to wander around and see some animals, stop for lunch, see more animals, and then see a bird/dinosaur show.  I love going to the zoo and Ian really loved it.  All the animals were out and close to the glass.  Ian said that his favorite animal to see was the penguins and the giraffe.  I can't wait to go to the zoo again!

Before we looked at animals the kids all took a ride on the carousel.  I was worried Ian wouldn't go because he got scared on the one at the Fair, but he went right in and found a seat. He said he didn't want to ride on anything that went up and down.

The penguins actually got out and swam in the water.

The lions were really cool.  We got there just in time to see the lion training.  They were really close and the kids loved it.

The giraffes come up really close.  You can feed them if you want.  Ian kept picking up dead leaves off the ground and trying to feed the giraffe.  He kept saying "the giraffe doesn't want to eat my leaf."  Of course not, kids were handing out lettuce leaves right next to us.

Just chillin' by the cheetah.

Lunch time!  Ian just loves his friend Eli.  They were laughing and talking the whole drive to the zoo.

Ian and his friends kept chanting "Gorilla, Gorilla, Gorilla!" trying to get him to turn around and look at them.

Before the bird show the kids played in the water park thing.  Ian got soaking wet but oh well.  He will live.
