This year we decided to carve only one pumpkin and it was going to be a simple design. It was the best decision ever. It went fast and didn't take all night. In previous years we each did a pumpkin and sometimes Sadie chose things like Cinderella to carve into her pumpkin which took hours to do. This year it was much more enjoyable.
This is how Ian got ready to carve pumpkins. He sucked on suckers with the wrappers still on them.
Sadie on the other hand knows how to get ready to carve pumpkins.

Once Ian saw that there was fun to be had, he wanted in on the action.
It was really hard to get Ian to stop helping once he saw how fun it was to stick his hand in and pull out goop.
