This week is the letter H. For our snack we made Hummus. I used this recipe. It was easy to make but it just tasted ok. The kids didn't really like it either. We ended up just throwing it away. Oh well, it was fun to make. We also did fizzy hearts. I drew hearts on paper the night before with glue and sprinkled them with baking soda. Then Ian took colored vinegar and used an eyedropper to drop it on the hearts. It made it fizz. Ian thought that was pretty cool. I also drew a crazy drawing and a hippo with glue. Lets just say we ended up with a table covered in colored vinegar. At least he had fun. In the end we just filled a plate full of baking soda and Ian dropped vinegar on it. He really liked the fizzing. We also made a Hippo out of paper plates after we learned about Hippos. Ian loves to paint so he liked this project. It turned out pretty cool.

He enjoyed the big plate of baking soda the most.
He got a little carried away with the vinegar.
