I
think this is our 9th year of going to the State Fair of Texas. We have started to make it a family tradition to go every year. We just love it! We were worried about the weather this year. It had poured all the day before and it was supposed to rain again the day that we went. We lucked out though. It was cloudy and cool and it didn't rain until we were walking out to the car to go home. It did really dump on us but we were headed home so that was just fine. We do the same activities every year. We fed the animals first. We usually do the little helpers on the farm but due to the weather it was closed. Oh well, we will try again next year. Also we usually go and look at all of the horses but they were cleaning out their stalls. It was still a wonderful day! The weather was great, the food was awesome, and the company was the best. I can't wait to go again next year.
Feeding the giraffe at the petting zoo.
Luckily Ian wasn't scared of the animals this year. He just loved them!
This is Ian's "cheese" smile.
There were some really cute baby pigs. Sadie and Ian loved being able to pet them.
And it is not a petting zoo without a bunch of goats.

The Food and Fiber Pavilion always gives out some kind of free sample. This year it was ice cream cones.
We always eat our Fletcher's corn dogs for lunch.
Fried Cookie Dough. It is my favorite!
Noah tried the fried Nutella.
We always stop at the water fountains on the way to the Carousel.
Our last stop was the Carousel. Sadie just loves to go on this ride. I think Ian liked it this year too.
