Christmas Eve!

Christmas Eve was a busy, busy day. We have a few traditions that we do every year. It was a wonderful day. I love spending time with my family. Here are a few of the highlights of the day.
One surprise was snow! We played out on our porch. Sadie loved it and even made a very tiny snowman.

Our traditional Christmas Eve dinner: turkey, roast beef, and salami sandwiches. We also had chips and apricot salad. Yum!!

After dinner we finished the last of the cookies. Sadie helped decorate the sugar cookies. Hers had a lot of sprinkles on them.

On Christmas Eve ever since I was a kid we have a little party with cookies before we go to bed. These are the cookies that we chose to have this year. I tried making biscotti and chocolate dipped macaroons this year and they turned out really good. We also had russian tea cakes, fudge, and sugar cookies.

On Christmas Eve we also open the boxes of presents that were sent to us from my family and put the presents under the tree.

We started a new tradition last year of opening one present on Christmas Eve. It is always the same thing...

New Pajamas!

Sadie looked awfully cute in her new pajamas.
