T is for Turkey

I can't believe that we are so close to being to the end of the alphabet.  We are on letter T.  We made homemade pop tarts, did a temperature experiment, made a turtle mosaic, and learned about turkeys.  The pop tarts where so easy to make and they tasted really good.  The kids really liked them.  Well Ian didn't like the frosting because he made it purple.  I am starting to think he doesn't like frosting.  The turtle also turned out pretty cute too.  Ian had fun gluing all of the stones onto the turtle's shell.  Plus he loves to paint!

Getting the dough all ready.

Now to seal the edges.

Everything is better with sprinkles on it.

For our temperature experiment I filled 3 glasses with water.  One with hot water, one with room temperature water, and one with ice water.  We used a thermometer to see what the temperature was and Ian had to predict if the temperature would be higher or lower on the next one.  He really liked it.

After we were done he wanted to see what would happen if he put a straw in each glass and drink it.  He wanted to predict if it would taste good or be hot or cold.

Making the turtle.

Time to paint!

Ready for some stones
